![]() What a solid cast of characters well written and presented, you got to give it to ND to always make a human like relatable characters like no others, my favorite by far is Mel. it just ripped my heart out because I invested so much this time around in the story and the characters and put myself so realistically in both of their places. the first time was upsetting because it felt so realistically uncomfortable and I didn't want to hurt Abby, this time because I actually cared for both of the main characters equally and it was just so freaking sad for me because these two are both equally deeply hurt and messed up and traumatised badly by the events of their lives. The last showdown between Ellie and Abby in the water was much more upsetting for me this time. Seeing her side of the story and how the death of her father who was really a good man fucked up her life and had horrible effects on her as a person, and how there is good in her to open up her human side to who is supposedly to be the enemy and helping two teenagers from the other side, her kindness towards Lev especially near the ends after he lost both his mother and sister she became like a source of warmth present in his life. I felt for Abby ( although the only thing I disagree with her is torturing Joel painfully instead of just finishing him off especially after he saved her life that should have at very less made her have some mercy towards him ). This time going in the game biased as possible. the characters were extremely human and had amazing depth of levels and complex. the idea itself seems simple but the way TLOU2 did it very successfully is worth praising, for each side is a personal story and reasons that goes beyond shallow subject of good and evil. and how in the first half they gave us the space to HATE Abby and her friends and view them as the enemy ONLY to flip the table midway through the story and put the player into Abby's shoes. Neil Druckmann AND Halley Gross are visionaries and masters when it comes to story telling, the way the game moves from the present day to the flashback and then back again to the present day was so well done. holy mother of the universe how did I changed my opinion massively!! ![]() I decided to replay TLOU2 but this time I will be more neutral so I put my strong biased feelings for Joel and Ellie on the side and started the adventure again with open mind. and with the upcoming release of TLOU1 on PS5 next month. Well, I always like to replay a certain games or movies or even TV series to see how I truly feel about it when I look at it with a different point of view or different angle and if that will change my original opinion or not. If you want their POV you can watch streamers - unfortunately most YouTube content is more like montages but streamers are going to give a lot of great POV gameplay thats “normal” when they aren’t smurfing. So for those who knows me here, since the release of TLOU2 summer 2020 and I've been always mentioning how the game is a 10\10 but I didn't like the direction the story took and I was criticizing some of the decisions and the dislike of playing almost half of the game as Abby and how the game was overly depressing that the first time ever I finished it I actually felt so depressed and sad that I start to cry good amount of tears after the credits rolls. If you’re newer, I’d recommend watching someone like Midbeast who will add commentary to those replays and explain the thought processes. They follow a player but aren’t from their POV. Otherwise if you’re trying to learn, there’s YouTube channels called Domisum that give you replays (much easier than downloading official LoL replays, especially since League replays break after a patch). But it’s still very cool to see, I recommend checking out one or two! ![]() Of course, these players are in pro games so there’s a different context, they have voice comms and synergy and a specific meta. There’s also one free pro view matchup per game. ![]() I believe it is being discontinued for the future, but it lets you watch any pro player in their games for the past year, I think. If you go to there is a paid service by Riot called ProView.
